Family Councils

At Pilsley Primary we believe in the children working in mixed age groups to discuss important issues.

This terms Family Council discussed ‘Safer Internet Use’.

The children start the groups by playing a game of ‘chase the ace’ (a game of cards) to get them to play together with the older children supporting the younger children. They then went on to discuss how to keep safe on the internet, what are the rights and wrongs, with the older children explaining to the younger children that they must not talk to strangers, not put any information on the internet that could identify them, including photos.

The meetings last 1 hour and they then feed back to the teacher about they have learnt.
