Design & Technology
Design and Technology prepares your child to participate in our rapidly changing world.
They learn to be independent and creative problem solvers as individuals and members of a team.
Through Design & Technology children will make judgements and list outcomes when evaluating their work. They will be able to experience personal satisfaction through seeing their own designs come to light and see the relevance of designing and making in relation to their own experiences.
As they move through school we provide an increasingly challenging curriculum which will draw on all aspects of their learning across the subjects.
Wherever possible, Design and Technology is taught through the topic work being covered in each class.
Cooking and Nutrition
Learning how to cook is a crucial life skill. We teach children how to cook and apply the principles of healthy eating throughout their time with us. Children develop the skills of cutting, chopping, mixing and weighing as they progress through school. They are taught about where food comes from and seasonality.
