History
During our history lessons, we hope to develop your child’s curiosity about the past in Pilsley, Britain and the wider world. They will look at how the past influences the present, and how people and places have changed. The children will find evidence, weigh it up and reach their own conclusions. To do this we develop the skills of research, sifting through evidence, and putting across a point of view – skills that will be needed throughout life.
We use an adapted version of the Rising Stars History curriculum to meet these aims.
We were subject inspected for History in 2010 by OFSTED who were very pleased with the quality of learning our children achieved.
